تروم هذه الورقة تسليط الضوء على الديناميات الأساسية الجديدة التي تفسر الجريمة الحضرية في سياق مجتمع متغير من منظور سوسيولوجي. ولهذه الغاية، سنعرض أهم المقاربات التي تناولت العلاقة بين الجريمة والمجتمع وكيف ساهم التحضر في إنتاج الجريمة الحضرية. كما سنحاول الوقوف عند طبيعة العلاقات الاجتماعية التي تميز المجتمع الحديث الذي يتسم بالفردانية والتحول المستمرين على مستوى الثقافة والقيم والسلوك، وكذا فهم علاقة الأمن بالجريمة في زمن اللايقين وكيف تحولت المخاطر والتهديدات الاجتماعية من مخاوف مرئية إلى مخاوف غير مرئية.
