Overview
This research aimed to reveal the impact of a proposed technical program in developing reading comprehension skills in the Arabic language subject for female primary school students in Jerash Governorate, and they followed the quasi-experimental approach. Two experimental and control groups, the first studied reading comprehension skills through the technical program and it consisted of (15) students, and the second studied in the usual way, and it consisted of (15) students. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the experimental group and control group on reading comprehension skills test (literal, deductive and critical) , and the overall test. This result indicates that the experimental group students showed a positive improvement in reading comprehension skills better than the control group students. This means that the dimensional performance of the experimental group students was affected by the program, which contributed to improving the level of those skills among the experimental group students. And there were statistically significant differences between the performance means of the experimental group on the post-test and follow-up on the reading comprehension test. The researcher recommended training Arabic language teachers to use technical programs in teaching Arabic, which contributes to increasing students' acquisition of reading comprehension skills.
