Overview
تناولت هذه الدراسة بداية ظهور المصنوعات المعدنية في مستوطنات العصر الحجري الحديث والبرونزي في اليمن، فضلا عن تحديد أنواع المعادن التي تم استخراجها من تلك المناجم، مثل الذهب، الفضة والنحاس والحديد وغيرها. كما تناولت هذه الدراسة أيضا الأدوات والتقنيات التي استخدمت في النشاط التعديني من خلال الكشف عن الأدوات المستعملة، وتحديد وظائفها وتقنيات صناعتها، وأساليب استخداماتها في عملية التعدين، وكذلك دراسة مراحل التطور التي طرأت على عملية استخراج المعدن، وصياغته منذ العصر الحجري الحديث وحتى أواسط العصر الإسلامي مستندا على إلى المصادر التاريخية، والأدلة الأثرية التي تم جمعها من تلك المواقع، وتحديد الأسباب التي أدت إلى هجرها وخرابها.
