Overview
موضوع البحث هو دراسة تاريخية أثرية لموقع إحدى المدن اليمنية القديمة، هو موقع رحابة، وكذلك قصر خوان- الذي دائما ما يربط الهمداني بينهما في مؤلفاته- اللذين يقعان شمال صنعاء، وتعنى الدراسة التاريخية لكلا الموقعين بما بعد الميلاد حتى أيام الهمداني، مستندين في ذلك على ما جادت به النقوش التي تذكر رحابة رغم قلتها، ولذلك كان اعتمادنا بشكل كبير على كتابات الهمداني. أما الدراسة الأثرية فهي محاولة مسح أثري لكلا الموقعين، وما يحويانه من بقايا منشآت ولقى أثرية ونقوش، بهدف توثيق الدور التاريخي للموقعين، وتبيان أهميتهما الأثرية.
