Overview
إن الملاحظ على الشيخ محمد عبده خلال حياته كان متفرغا للعلم وطلبه، مارا بمراحل كثيرة ومتنوعة مبتدأ إياها بمدة الأزهر الذي اثر به من خلال شؤونه الدراسية، رغم انعزاله عن مجرى الحياة العلمية والأدبية إلا انه كان ذو وقع كبير في نفس عبده، مما جعله فيما بعد يسعي إلى الإصلاح داخل الأزهر من خلال نظرة عميقة لحظر الانقسام لذلك انشأ جامعة الأزهر، وبعدها فترة جمال الدين الأفغاني وما آلت إليه من تأثير في شخصيته من خلال بوادر عمل خارجي وداخلي حتى صقلت موهبته الفكرية والإصلاحية حتى كونت من خلاله ملامح شخصيته في هذه التكوينات الفكرية عاملا على ترجمتها على ارض الواقع.
