Overview
في هذا البحث تعريف بأحد الأعراب الفصحاء المتقدمين، الذين سمع منهم العلماء وأخذوا عنهم، وكان لهم فضل الريادة والمشاركة في رواية اللغة، وهذا الأعرابي هو (أبو ليلى)، رويت عنه نصوص كثيرة في عدد من المصادر اللغوية، ومنها كتاب (العين) للخليل بن أحمد الفراهيدي (ت 175 ه). -ويشتمل البحث على مقدمة ومبحثين، ضم الأول تعريفا ب (أبي ليلى) وبمروياته اللغوية في كتاب (العين)، وضم الثاني نصوص مروياته اللغوية موثقة ومرتبة على وفق ترتيب موادها على حروف المعجم. ويرد في أسفل صفحات البحث كشاف مسلسل بالهوامش والتعليقات، وبالمصادر والمراجع المعتمدة فيه.
