إن حقوق الإنسان وبالذات حقوق المواطن الأمريكي لم تأت من فراغ أو كتـرف بل كافح من أجلها طويلا وثبتها ضمن تاريخ طويل تمثلت بالتعديلات الدستورية التي أقرها وتضمنها الدستور الأمريكي، وعلى الرغم من كل ذلك لازالت المظالم تقـع إلا إن السلطة القضائية الأمريكية والتي كفل عملها الدستور الأمريكي أيضا تكبح جماح النفس الأمارة بالسوء. وعلينا أن لا ننسى إن الولايات المتحدة الأمريكيـة تتـدخل بشؤون الكثير من دول العالم تحت مظلة الدفاع عن حقوق الإنسان وحماتها
