Overview
إن زوال الدولة الآشورية وقيام الدولة البابلية الحديثة وأحداثاً أخرى كبيرة ومهمة حصلت في تاريخ العراق القديم هي بالتأكيد مهمة وربما الأهم منها، هو الأصل الحضاري الذي توارثته الأقوام العراقية القديمة حتى وصوله الآشوريين الذين طوروه وأضافوا إليه الشيء الكثير ومن بعدهم البابليين (خلال العصر البابلي الحديث) الذين أضافوا حلقة جديدة من التطور الحضاري ضمن تاريخ العراق القديم، فالتواصل الحضاري الذي عاشته الأقوام العراقية القديمة هو المهم حيث يمكن من خلاله إعطاء تفسير لجوانب من تاريخ العراق القديم وكيف ابتدأت وأين وصلت.
