يتناول البحث دراسة وتحليل أثر تحرير التجارة الخارجية في سورية على المتغيرات الاقتصادية للقطاع الصناعي السوري، وذلك من خلال تحليل أثر تحرير التجارة الخارجية على التنمية الصناعية، ودراسة برنامج تحرير التجارة الخارجية في سورية، ودراسة الآثار الاقتصادية لتحرير التجارة الخارجية على قطاع الصناعة السوري، وصولا لإيجاد العلاقة بين تحرير التجارة الخارجية وبعض المتغيرات الاقتصادية للقطاع الصناعي في سورية. ليخلص البحث إلى النتائج التي توضح أسباب الضعف في القطاع الصناعي السوري في ظل تحرير التجارة الخارجية.
