إن الصعود القوي لصناديق الثروة السيادية ونموها المتسارع حجماً وعدداً؛ فضلاً عن منطق استثمارتها في رأسمال مؤسسات الدول الأكثر تقدماً, جعلها محل اهتمام على المستوى الدولي. بسبب افتقارها للشفافية في إدارة أعمالها؛ فإن تحليل إستراتيجيتها الاستثمارية خلص إلى أن هؤلاء المستثمرين لهم: - سلوك استثماري قريب من المستثمرين الخواص؛ - إستراتيجية استثمارية طويلة المدى وأشد حذر؛ - تغير في سياساتها الاستثمارية حسب التغيرات في البيئة الدولية.
