تناقش هذه الدراسة تشكيل الخيال الشعري ولوحاته الفنية بوصفه فاعلية أساسية في الممارسات الإبداعية، وإنتاج الدلالة الأدبية عند الشاعر أبي الفرج الوأواء الدمشقي، وحاول البحث الاجابة عن سؤال مؤداه، هل نتجاوب الأبعاد والدلالات التي يقترن بها الخيال في شعر الوأواء مع التصورات المثالية الخلاقة التي تنطوي عليها جهود النفاد والفلاسفة؟ ثم عرض البحث سؤال ثان يدور حول علاقة تشكيلات الخيال وإنتاج الدلالة بحرفة الشاعر.
