أن المعالج مطالب بأن يتحكم في هذه الإجراءات قدر الإمكان، وفق قدراته المهنية والنفسية، لأنه يتعامل مع شخصية تلجأ في الوضعيات الضاغطة والصادمة إلى سلوكيات إيذاء الذات والانتحار، وعليه يتحمل المعالج مسؤولية إنقاذ هؤلاء العملاء، والعمل بكل ما أوتي من قدرة ومهارة ليحد من عوامل التسرب وليزيد من فرص الامتثال، حتى يتسنى له تقديم العلاج المناسب لهم، وإنجاح عملية التكفل النفسي.
