يعد الخطاب الوصفي من الرهانات النقدية في السرديات الحديثة وتحليل الخطاب، كيف الحال، وهو يقارب أهم المتون السردية القديمة التي تركها لنا الجاحظ، إذ يحتاج إلى الاقتراب منه فهما وتوصيفا، وهذا ما حاولت هذه الأطروحة الاشتغال عليه، إذ انتقلت بنا من الوصف من حيث هو مكون سردي إلى الخطاب الوصفي الباحث في مقتضيات تشكلاته اللغوية والأسلوبية، باحثة عن حدوده ومحدداته، خابرة موضوعاته، واقفة عند أنظمته التحليلية، متخذة من النتائج العملية التي توصل لها \"فيليب هامون\" في بحثه عن الوصفي منطلقا لها.
