Overview
This paper discusses the possible effects of multicollinearity in the data of a random sample drawn from the wheat tenant farmers of the Gezira Scheme on the estimates of technical efficiency. The results showed that the nature of the data plays a critical role in determining the nature of the estimates that emerge. In particular, the presence of multicollinearity or misspecification appears to affect the estimates generated by the normal- truncated models.
