تعد هذه الطريقة من أدق أدوات الرقابة للعمليات وفي استطاعتها تقليل الانحرافات إلى (3,4) لكل مليون وحدة إنتاجية، مما يسمح بتأمين النجاح الكلي لتطبيق نظام إدارة الجودة الشاملة (TQM) في كامل المستويات التنظيمية، حيث تعد هذه المسألة النقطة الجوهرية في دراستنا هذه، التي نحاول من خلالها استعراض طريقة 6 سيقما، إذ سوف يتم التركيز بموجبها على أهم الأدوات الإحصائية وبعض تطبيقاتها للتوصل إلى تحقيق الدقة اللازمة المشار إليها، بالموازاة مع الاستنتاجات التي توصلت إليها هذه الدراسة سوف نحاول تقديم جملة من التوصيات انسجاما مع تلك الاستنتاجات.
