يتناول هذا البحث دراسة لنقش يعود تاريخه إلى نهاية الفترة العباسية، عثر عليه في بلدة \"حوارة\" شمالي الأردن، والمؤرخ في (6 ذي القعدة 411 هـ، الموافق 26 شباط/فبراير 1021 م)، خلال المسح الأثري للبلدة، وتكمن أهمية هذا النقش بأنه يؤرخ إلى نهاية الفترة العباسية المتأخرة لذلك المكان، كما يتضمن هذا البحث قراءة النقش وتحليلا لمضمونه ومقارنة لحروفه.
