Overview
Nile River is the main source of water for the Nile basin countries. The provided water does not satisfy the enor¬mous demand of water in the region. It is expected that at least six out of the ten countries that share the Nile water will face water stress in the early 21 st century. Nile water for the down¬stream countries like Egypt and Sudan is considered to be of a vital national priority. Our goal in this paper conduct a SWOT analysis to show the effectiveness of the NBI to meet the growing demand of wa¬ter in the Nile region for the sustainable agricultural develop¬ment, which would lead to food security raising the economic welfare for the basin countries.
