تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على صناعة الفركة بمنطقة نقادة التابعة لمحافظة قنا في صعيد مصر من حيث خصائصها وأسباب توطنها ومدي اقتران قوة الدفع التاريخي لها (الموروث الحضاري) بقوة دفع جغرافي اقتصادي أسهم في استمراريتها فضلاً عن تحديد المشكلات التي تواجهها وتنذر باندثارها مع وضع اقتراحات بكيفية حلها للحيلولة دون تحولها من صناعة شهيرة إلى صناعة شهيدة، واعتمد الباحث على عدة مناهج وهي المنهج الوصفي والمنهج الوظيفي والمنهج الأصولي والمنهج التاريخي.
