Overview
In 2010 the Technical And Vocational Training Corporation started a tremendous approach in evaluation. This approach of evaluation was built to all courses, theoretical and practical. This research attempted to investigate the effectiveness of the new approach in evaluating English at the college of technology in Buraydah, Saudi Arabia. Moreover, the current research will shed the light on the advantages and disadvantages of this new approach in evaluating the English language classes at the college of technology in Buraydah, Saudi Arabia, in comparison to the previous approach followed at that time. Six trainers'(teachers') results of their 332 trainees (students) will be involved in this study. The findings have revealed that both trainers and trainees value the uses of the new approach in evaluating English at the college of technology in Buraydah, Saudi Arabia. The findings also indicate that the achievement of trainees in the new approach is much better than the old one. It is not only the achievement which has improved; but also, the process of learning. Participants' comments and suggestions are also included. A special consideration to the ideas of the dean, his vice dean, and the director of the language center will be mentioned in this study. Lastly, a list of recommendations will be provided to the readers and decision makers at the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation in Saudi Arabia.
