Overview
العلمانية -بحسب النموذج الفرنسي الذي كان أول تطبيق تاريخي للمفهوم -هي مبدأ فصل الدين عن الدولة، وبالتالي هي سياسة حياد القوانين ومؤسسات الدولة في المجتمع عن كل ما يتعلق بفلسفة الحياة والأعراق. لا تدخل أسس الأديان في عمل الدولة كما لا تتدخل هذه الأخيرة في عمل المؤسسات الدينية. ومن هنا نشأ مبدأ فصل الدين عن الدولة. هذه المقالة للكاتب الفرنسي دانيال مارتان تلقي الضوء على العلمانية الفرنسية ونتائجها كما تعرض إلى تداعياتها على سبيل التمثيل خارج الجغرافيا الفرنسية.
