Overview
يعتبر المؤرخ ابن ظهيره أحد مؤرخي أسرة بني ظهيرة، تلك الأسرة الشهيرة التي ظهرت على مسرح الأحداث منذ القرن السادس الهجري / الثاني عشر الميلادي. ولسوء الحظ لم ينل هذا المؤرخ حظه في كتب التاريخ والتراجم رغم علو مكانته وسعة علمه، فجاء الحديث عنه مختصرا في عدة سطور. لذا وقع على عاتق الباحث دراسة هذا المؤرخ دراسة تفصيلية من خلال ما كتب عنه في المصادر، ومما ورد في سطور مؤلفه \"الجامع اللطيف\" والذي يتناوله الباحث جملة وتفصيلا. ويتناول هذا البحث دراسة هذا المؤرخ وكتابه \"الجامع اللطيف\" من حيث : المولد والنش|أة وثقافته وطبقته الاجتماعية، ودراسة وافية لمؤلفه من حيث التصنيف والمحتوي، والمرجعية التاريخية له، ومنهجه في الكتابة التاريخية خلال تلك الفترة.
