تهتم هذه الدراسة بتحليل بعض منحدرات الحافة الأولى بالجبل الخضر شمال شرق ليبيا، ومقارنة قطاعاتها من حيث درجات الانحدار، والأطوال المحدبة والمقعرة، والزوايا الحدية والشائعة، ومعدلات التقوس، ومن ثم تطور المنحدرات بمنطقة الدراسة حيث أرجعت الدراسة نشأة المنحدرات وتطورها إلى ثلاثة عوامل هي: الحركات التكتونية التي حدثت في بداية البليوسين، والتغيرات المناخية خلال البليستوسين، والتأثيرات الحرارية وتأثيرات تحرك المواد خلال عصر الهولوسين.
