هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تسليط الضوء على الترجمات المختلفة لمصطلح Information Literacy)) إلى اللغة العربية، وتوضيح الدلالات والمعاني المختلفة الي ترجم بها إلى اللغة العربية من خلال استعراض النتاج الفكري العربي المنشور في هذا المجال، وقد أشارت نتائج هذه الدراسة إلى أن أهم المصطلحات التي استخدمت في اللغة العربية لمقابلة المصطلح Information Literacy)) هي: ثقافة المعلومات، والوعي المعلوماتي، والتنور المعلوماتي، ومحو الأمية المعلوماتية.
