فان السنة النبوية تعد المصدر الثاني للتشريع بعد القرآن الكريم ومن خلال هذا البحث الموسوم (الأحاديث الواردة في فضائل الشام في الكتب الستة دراسة تحليلية) أردت أن أبين أهمية ومكانة الشام في السنة النبوية من خلال الأحاديث التي قالها النبي عليه الصلاة والسلام في فضل الشام وأهلها حيث بينت في المبحث الأول أصل تسمية الشام ومدنها وفي المبحث الثاني ذكرت فيه الأحاديث الواردة في فضل الشام وكان عددها ثمانية أحاديث.
