يتمحور هدف هذه الوثيقة حول معرفة دراسة تطور النمو الاقتصادي والاجتماعي في الجزائر من خلال دراسة تطور حجم الدخل القومي ونصيب الفرد منه والناتج المحلي، تطور معدل النمو الاقتصادي، تطور معدلات التمدرس وكذا تطور معدلات التغطية الصحية وتوضيح ارتباط وتأثير سيرورة هذه السلاسل على تطور الولادات في الجزائر خلال خمسة عشرة سنة الأخيرة من 2000 إلى 2015. فقد عرفت الجزائر نموا اقتصاديا واجتماعيا مهما ما من شانه أن يؤثر على سيرورة معدل الولادات الذي عرف عودة إلى الارتفاع خلال هذه الفترة بعد ما كان يشهد هبوطا مستمرا منذ الاستقلال حيث انخفض من 50% سنة 1967 إلى 19.36% سنة 2000، إلا انهعاود الارتفاع مرة أخرى ما جعلنا نتساءل عن سبب هذه العودة.
