منذ أن ظهرت وكالات الأنباء في القرن السابع عشر الميلادي والصحف الورقية في مختلف أنحاء العالم، لا تستغنى عن التعامل مع هذه الوكالات التي أصبحت جزء لا يتجزأ من المضمون الخبري لمعظم الصحف في العالم المتقدم والنامي، والصحافة الأردنية كغيرها من الصحف في العالم اعتمدت على وكالات الأنباء العالمية والعربية في الحصول على الأخبار.
