تعد اليقظة الاستراتيجية إحدى المفاهيم الحديثة في علوم التسيير فهي أسلوب منظم في الإدارة الاستراتيجية للمؤسسة، تركز على تحسين تنافسيتها من خلال التتبع والمراقبة والتحليل للمحيط العلمي والتقني، التكنولوجي والمؤثرات الاقتصادية الحاضرة والمستقبلية لاكتشاف الفرص المتاحة والتهديدات المحتملة وكل هذا في طابع استباقي تطوعي وبالتالي فاليقظة الاستراتيجية توفر للمؤسسة معلومات استراتيجية حول ما يحدث أو سيحدث في محيطها انطلاقا من هذه المعلومات تقوم المؤسسة بإجراء تغييرات حتى تتماشى والمستجدات الخارجية.
