Overview
The concept of \"understanding the other\" is of great importance in current political and social circumstances. Conflicts in our world underscore the human need to promote intercultural communication. The study shows an increasing interest in understanding others in the international context, as well as in teaching German as a foreign language in Egypt. The study deals with the term \"other\" from different points of view, including the Islamic perspective as well as the theoretical foundations of the concepts of understanding the other. The study aims at using literary texts in the German language as a foreign language in Egypt in order to understand the other and the foreign cultures in the German language as a foreign language. The study proposes a model for teaching the literary texts to reach dis goal. The skills that German students should learn as a foreign language in order to understand others and their cultural patterns. The study focused on identifying conditions that enhance understanding of life and processes that make \"understanding others\" processes that can be studied by German language learners Literary The study defines the conditions under which literature can achieve the goal of understanding the other. The study explores the characteristics of literary texts suitable for educational use for the purpose of understanding others, and the study creates a teaching model for the application of literary texts for the purpose of understanding others. Finally the results will be listed.
