Overview
The attempt to harmonize between tasawuf and hadith has been performed many times. Even though it has not been fully successful, at least the attempt is always there. These have been done by those who want to see Muslims united and willing to accept disagreements. The fact is, this split is the result of a lack of initiative and effort to understand those who are seen as \"different forms of thinking\" or \"different methodologies\" more openly and not punishing them blindly. This writing will highlight the two groups seen as separate from the time of al-Muhasibi and Imam Ahmad with more balanced view. The harmonization between hadith and tasawuf will be represented by the works of al-Taftazani with the title \"Sharh al-Taftazani ala Ahadith al-Arba'in al-Nawawiyyah\". The analysis will prove that space and opportunity always exist in the balance between the hadith and tasawuf.
