Overview
تل الولاية أحد المواقع الأثرية الذي يقع في محافظة واسط على بعد 210 كم جنوب شرق بغداد، ونقبت فيه بعثة عراقية لمواسم عدة، وكشفت عن عدد كبير من الأختام الأسطوانية التي امتازت بتنوع المواد المصنوعة منها وتنوع مشاهدها وقد غلب عليها مشاهد الصراع. تضمن البحث دراسة عشرون ختما نقشت بمشاهد الصراع وقسمت إلى أربع مجموعات هي: 1- حماية الأبطال للحيوانات الأليفة من الحيوانات المفترسة 2- الصراع بين الأبطال والحيوانات المفترسة أو البرية 3- هجوم الضواري على الفرائس 4- نسر يغرز مخالبه في ظهري أسديين أو ضبيين
