سنتناول في هذا البحث مواقف مطعم بن عدي وابنه جبير من الإسلام ونبيه صل الله عليه وسلم، ضمن تتبع مواقف جبير المعادية للنبي صل الله عليه وسلم يوم أن جاء مع وفد قريش الكافرة آنذاك ليفاوض أبا طالب بتسليمهم النبي مقابل أن يعطوه عمارة بن الوليد انهد فتى في قريش بدلا عنه، وتتبع موقفه من حصار المسلمين وصحيفة الحصار، واجارة النبي صل الله عليه وسلم يوم أن عاد من دعوته في الطائف، وبعد ذلك نسلط الضوء على مواقف ابنه جبير من الدعوة الإسلامية ومحاولة قتل النبي ليتفرق دمه بين القبائل، كما أن له بعض المواقف الايجابية والبشارات النبوية من خلال الوقوف على المصادر التاريخية الموثوقة بعد التحليل المنطقي الصائب بلا تحريف أو تجميل للحقائق.
