باعتبار الرياضة نسقا اجتماعيا ومركب ثقافي مؤثرا في المجتمع، فهي لا تخلو من بعض المظاهر السلبية التي الناجمة عن تصرفات الجماهير والإدارة وكذا الحكام واللاعبين، والتي بدورها تؤدي إلى خروج اللعبة من نطاقها الأخلاقي الذي تسمو إليه بغرض نشر ثقافة التسامح والتضامن ونبذ مظاهر العنف المادي والمعنوي الناجم من ظاهرة التعصب.
