Overview
أولى القدماء عناية كبيرة للظواهر التطريزية في اللغة العربية باعتبارها ظواهر صوتية مصاحبة للصوت اللغوي في إنتاج المعنى منها: النبر، التنغيم، الوقف، وغيرها...، وإذا كان الوقف عند جمهور العلماء هو انقطاع للصوت واستراحة للمتكلم فقد ارتبط عند العروضيين بالإنشاد والترنم لأنه الوقف الأنسب للشعر، وبذلك تعددت أوجه الوقف على القوافي- التي تعد موضع وقف عروضي فتؤذن بنهاية مجموعة إيقاعية وبداية مجموعة إيقاعية ثانية- بين الإبدال، الإلحاق، الإثبات.
