رصد هذا البحث مواضع حذف (أل) التعريف، التي تكون في بعضها مرادة، وفي بعضها الآخر غير مرادة. فوجدها محذوفة مرادة في لفظ الجلالة (الله)، إذا ما جر بحرف الجر (اللام)، وفي النكرة المنعوت بها معرفة، وفي لفظي: (الآن)، و(أمس)، وفي مواضع سمع حذفها فيها عن العرب، وهي: (سلام عليكم) من غير تنوين، ومن لفظ (الاثنين) من أيام الأسبوع، ومن بعض الأعلام حين تكون الألف واللام للغلبة. وتحذف (أل) التعريف، وهي غير مرادة أصلاً، من المنادى المعرف بها، وكذلك في الإضافة المعنوية. وتحذف الألف واللام في الخط، وتثبت في النطق من (الذي) وجمعه، ومن (التي) وفروعه.
