Overview
يسعى البحث إلى إلقاء الضوء على سيرة القائد والنقيب خازم بن خزيمة التميمي وإماطة اللثام عن دوره السياسي والعسكري في مرحلتي الدعوة والدولة العباسية، وقد قدم خازم خدمات جليلة للدولة العباسية جعلته في مصاف أهم القادة المشهورين في تاريخها، حيث تولى مهام الدعاية للدولة في المرحلة السرية رفقة العديد من عرب خراسان وعجمها، والمشاركة في قيادة جيوش العباسيين في مرحلة الثورة، ثم تولي مهام الدفاع عن وجود الخلافة العباسية ضد الأخطار الداخلية والخارجية التي تعرضت لها مثل أخطار الخوارج والعلويين والزنادقة وغيرهم.
