لقد بذل علماء الشيعة الأمامية جهودا مظنية، في مجال البحث والتحقيق، وخاصة في علم الفقه وما يرتبط به من علوم، نظرا لشدة اهتمامهم بالفقه ومعرفة الحلال والحرام من جهة، والتزامهم العمل بأحكام الدين الإسلامي من جهة ثانية، ولأجل مواكبة التطور والتوسع الذي يشهده علم الفقه من جهة ثالثة، ولهذا نجد أنهم اعتنوا عناية فائقة بدراسة العلوم التي يتوقف عليها علم الفقه، والتي أهمها علم الحديث الشريف، وعلم الرجال، وعلم أصول الفقه.nومن جملة الاعلام الذين بذلوا جهدهم وصرفوا عمرهم في تشييد قواعد هذا الدين الحنيف، من خلال البحث والتحقيق في علم الفقه والعلوم الإسلامية الأخرى، هو العلامة السيد عبد الله شبر قدس سره، حيث ترك للأجيال تراثا ضخما، يمثل ثروة علمية مهمة للعلماء والباحثين.nوفي هذا البحث المتواضع سوف نسلط الضوء على شيء من سيرة العلامة السيد عبد الله شبر قدس سره، والإشارة إلى جهوده العلمية عامة والفقهية خاصة، واستيفاء الحديث في هذا الموضوع يقع في تمهيد وثلاثة مباحث:nالتمهيد: في الفائدة المتوخاة من ذكر الشخصيات العلمية واستذكار نشاطها العلمي.nالمبحث الأول: نبذة من حياة السيد عبد الله شبر قدس سره.nالمبحث الثاني: عطاؤه العلمي.nالمبحث الثالث: جهوده الفقهية.
