تحاول الدراسة معالجة موضوع تأثير الرأسمالية الحضرية على زيادة معدلات ايكولوجيا الخوف في كلا من العشوائيات والمدن المسيجة بالقاهرة، واستخدمت منهج المسح الاجتماعي بالعينة بأداتي الاستبيان والمقابلة، وكانت عينة الدراسة من المهتمين بدراسة العشوائيات ومشاكل الحضر والمدن الحضرية عن طريق عينة غرضية عمدية، وكان قوام العينة 29 مفردة، وأكدت الباحثة معظم فروض الدراسة في وجود علاقة سلبية بين الرأسمالية الحضرية وازدياد ايكولوجيا الخوف في المناطق العشوائية والمسيجة بالقاهرة.
