اتفق البلاغيون على أن لاستقصاء المعاني أثرا واضحا في إبراز الأفكار، وتوضيحها من جهة أن المتكلم يسبر أغوارها، ويستخرج كنهها، حتى يأتي بجميع عوارضها ولوازمها، بعد استقصاء أوصاوفها الذاتية٠ وهو باب من أبواب البراعة فى التعبير عن المعاني، يحمد إذا جاء عفويا وفطريا، كما أنه لا ينقاد للمتكلم إلا إذا كان على وعي تام بصفات، وأحوال المعاني. وهذا البحث قد وقف - بما لا يدع مجالا للشك من خلال تحليل نماذج من الأمثال النبوية - على تمكن البيان النبوي من توظيف الاستقصاء في خدمة الأفكار وتوضيح المعاني، وسبر أغوارها، بما لا يترك لمن يتناولها بعده مقالا إضافيا فيها.
