Overview
شاعر بغدادي، ولد في كرخ بغداد، وأكمل دراسته الأولية في مدارس بغداد، تنقل بين مصر ودمشق للدراسة والعمل في الصحافة وعانى النفي من العراق عند سقوط الحكم الفيصلي عاد من منفاه إلى بغداد ليتخرج من كلية الحقوق 1924م فيعمل في القضاء. توفي في 9/11/1973م ودفن ببغداد. أحب وطنه العراق وكتب في تصوير باب بغداد الوسطاني في قصيدته (الباب الوسطاني) أجمل الأبيات في تصوير ما حل به من خراب عاكسا من خلالها ما يعاني شعبه وكتب أشعارا في الناس والمدينة ومن قصائده (اليتيم الباكي) وغنى للحرية ونشدها.
