تهدف هذه الورقة إلى التعرف على استخدام طلاب جامعة شندي للمستودع الرقمي، وذلك من خلال طرق الحصول على المعلومات، والصعوبات التي تعيق استخدام المستودع الرقمي بالجامعة، وقد وظف الباحثان المنهج الوثائقي (التاريخي) والمنهج الوصفي التحليلي للتعرف على تلك المتطلبات. ومن أهم النتائج التي توصل إليها أن طلاب جامعة شندي يستخدمون المستودع الرقمي من أجل الحصول على البحوث، والمعلومة التي تخص التخصص، ولا يجدون مشكلة كبيرة في استخدام المستودع الرقمي، ومن أهم التوصيات التي توصل إليها توفير نظم آلية مناسبة وتدريب المستفيدين لاستخدام المكتبة الرقمية.
