Overview
عرف عن روزيتا فوربس Rosita Forbes شغفها الدؤوب بالترحال والتجوال في مناطق كثيرة من العالم. وفي شهر أوغسطس عام 1921 (ذو الحجة، 1339هـ)، قررت روزيتا القيام برحلة إلى جدة ومنها إلى مكة المكرمة لأداء فريضة الحج، مدعية الإسلام ومتنكرة باسم خديجة. وعلى الرغم من توقفها في جدة وقرارها بعدم إكمال رحلتها إلى مكة إلا أن كتاباتها عن جدة تضمنت مادة علمية ذا أهمية ليس فقط لاحتوائها على جوانب مهمة بل لكونها لم يسبق ترجمتها على حد علم الباحث. والبحث في منهجه يقوم على رصد واستقصاء كتابات روزيتا عن جدة ووصف وتحليل جوانبها الدينية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية، إضافة إلى بيان قيمتها العلمية.
