يثبت دخول شهر الصوم برؤية هلاله بالعين الباصرة أو مساعدات الرؤية، والعين الباصرة هي عين من رأى الهلال بعيني رأسه، وقد اختلف فقهاء السلف في الرؤية التي يثبت بها هلال الصوم، وعما إذا كانت رؤية واحد فقط، إذا كان مقبول الشهادة، أم أنه لا يكفي رؤية الواحد له، بل لابد من تعدد من رأوا الهلال، وهذا البحث يبين نقاط الاتفاق والاختلاف في حكم هذه المسألة، التي اختلفت أنظار الفقهاء فيها من قبل.
