Overview
Viele Bundesländer machen für Schulformen mit mehr als einem Bildungsgang nur noch Rahmenvorgaben zur Leistungsdifferenzierung und delegieren deren konkrete Ausgestaltung an die Einzelschule. Damit verliert die viel verwendete Kategorie „Schulform“ zusehends an deskriptivem und analytischem Wert. Der vorliegende Beitrag nimmt diese Entwicklung zum Anlass, die Schulstrukturen der Bundesländer systematisch auf Ebene der schulischen Organisationsformen zu vergleichen und die Implikationen einer um Differenzierungsfragen erweiterten Schulautonomie für die amtliche Schulstatistik und Bildungsforschung zu reflektieren.
