Overview

This text consists of the author’s final reflections as a way of concluding the compilation of articles in the monograph. It is not therefore another article relating to a specific investigation, but an epistemological essay or conference which explores conventional, psychological investigation and the challenges that arise from cultural change and the suitability of the Interpretive Paradigm for the building of psychological knowledge. The essay concludes by shedding light on the necessity to overcome epistemological monism in order to move towards a more pluralistic perspective as much as in scientific production as in regards to the training of future investigators.  El texto consiste en una reflexión final del autor para dar cierre a la compilación de artículos del monográfico. No es, por lo tanto, un artículo más que recoge una investigación específica, sino un ensayo epistemológico, a modo de conferencia, que transita por la investigación psicológica convencional, los retos que derivan del cambio cultural y la idoneidad del paradigma interpretativo para la construcción de conocimiento psicológico. El ensayo concluye exponiendo la necesidad de superar el monismo epistemológico para dirigirse hacia un pluralismo tanto en la producción científica como en la formación de futuros investigadores.
