Overview
The written press has undergone many changes, both in its physical format and in the construction of the texts. Over the years, written sports journalism began to mix information with spectacularity to report on the participation of the national soccer team. For this reason, the motivation arises to know the journalistic coverage that the newspapers provided to the participation of Peruvians in large-scale competitions. The objective of this research is to analyze the characteristics or qualities of the news from the newspapers La Crónica from 1939, El Comercio from 1975 and Depor from 2019, with respect to the performance of the peruvian soccer team in the finals of the Copa América. The type of research is applied at a descriptive comparative level. The notes chosen are those drawn up the day after the matches played. The population is 31 notes and the sample is 11 notes. Regarding the content, a style according to the norms and customs of each era is observed in the three newspapers; in addition, the playful approach is appreciated over the information, but without losing the informational essence.
La prensa escrita ha experimentado muchos cambios, tanto en su formato físico como en la construcción de los textos. Con el paso de los años, el periodismo deportivo escrito comenzó a mezclar la información con la espectacularidad para informar acerca de la participación del equipo nacional de fútbol. Por ello, surge la motivación por conocer la cobertura periodística que brindaron los diarios a la participación delos peruanos en certámenes de gran envergadura. El objetivo de la presente investigación es analizar las características o cualidades de la noticia de los diarios. La Crónica de 1939, El Comercio de 1975 y Depor de 2019, con respecto al desempeño de la selección peruana de futbol en las finales de la Copa América. El tipo de investigación es aplicado de nivel descriptivo comparativo. Las notas elegidas son las redactadas al día siguiente de los partidos disputados. La población es de 31 notas y la muestra es de 11 notas. En cuanto al contenido, se observa en los tres diarios un estilo según las normas y costumbres de cada época; además, se aprecia el enfoque lúdico por encima de la información, pero sin perder la esencia informativa.
