Overview
El títere constituye un género escénico milenario quizá aun no descubierto en todo su potencial educativo. Tradicionalmente menospreciado en Europa y casi olvidado en muchos países del resto del mundo, hoy en día se reconocen de manera unánime sus valores culturales y literarios. Sin embargo, y a pesar de que muchos docentes lo consideran una herramienta educativa de primer orden, son todavía muy escasas las publicaciones y los recursos que pueden hacer viable su uso adecuado en el aula. Nos enfrentamos pues a un elemento que puede resultar un auxiliar de primer orden en una educación abierta, interdisciplinar, creativa e intercultural, si bien también hemos de afrontar el hecho de que siguen vivos muchos prejuicios e ideas falsas en torno al títere y a su uso escolar.
