Overview
This study analyzes the will of Sheikh Qasim bin Mohammed Al Thani, focusing on its religious, humanitarian and charitable aspects. The study concluded the following:
• The will of Sheikh Qasim is considered to be the first document in the establishment of charitable and humanitarian work within the State of Qatar.
• The will reveals the charitable and humanitarian aspects of Sheikh Qasim’s personality.
• Sheikh Qasim’s will concentrates on the elite and servant classes, women, and the needy.
• There was a close relationship between Sheikh Qasim and the descendants of Sheikh Mohammad Ibn Abd al-Wahhab and the people of Najd in general.
• Sheikh Qasim adopted the teachings of Sheikh Muhammad Ibn Abd al-Wahhab.
• Sheikh Qasim financially and morally supported King Abdul-Aziz and his father Abdul-Rahman, as stipulated in his will.
