Overview

I reportage francesi scritti da Savinio nel 1938 per la rubrica « Viaggi in terza » del settimanale « Omnibus », subito dopo la Seconda guerra caddero in un irredimibile oblio. Non del tutto casualmente, forse : vi sono attinti, infatti, gli stereotipi antigiudaici più corrivi ; su tutti la relazione che i paladini della Torah intratterrebbero con le congreghe massoniche. Inoltre, alcune speciose circonlocuzioni suggeriscono l’ipotesi secondo cui Savinio avrebbe incettato non pochi assunti dei Protocolli dei savi di Sion, l’apocrifo più tragicamente noto del ventesimo secolo. The French reportages written by Savinio in 1938 for the column « Viaggi in terza » of the magazine « Omnibus », fell into an irredeemable oblivion after the Second War. Maybe not just by chance : in fact in those writings some dangerous anti-Jewish stereo­types return on several occasions ; above all the relationship that the Jews would have with the Masonic congregations. Furthermore some specious circumlocutions support the hypothesis that Savinio would have taken many notions from The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, the worst fake of the twentieth century.
