Due recenti saggi, La letteratura circostante. Narrativa e poesia nell’Italia contemporanea di Gianluigi Simonetti (Il Mulino) e Il romanzo italiano contemporaneo. Dalla fine degli anni Settanta a oggi di Carlo Tirinanzi De Medici (Carocci), invitano a riflettere sullo stato della letteratura italiana contemporanea. Questo contributo vuole riprendere e circoscrivere alcuni temi come il rapporto con la tradizione, l’influenza del mercato, l’orizzonte di aspettativa di autori e lettori. Two recent essays, La letteratura circostante. Narrativa e poesia nell’Italia contemporanea by Gianluigi Simonetti (Il Mulino) and Il romanzo italiano contemporaneo. Dalla fine degli anni Settanta a oggi by Carlo Tirinanzi De Medici (Carocci), call the reader to reflect on the state of contemporary Italian poetry. This paper tries to go back to and pinpoint some themes, such as the relationship with tradition, the influence of market factors, the authors’ and readers’ horizon of expectation.
