Overview
This interview evokes Claudel’s important role in Alain Badiou’s own demands for coherence between his vision of life and the adventures of existence and history, for writing and style, for clarity of thought too. He recognizes Claudel as a political writer and thinker in the broadest sense of the word. Several of his plays (L’Écharpe rouge, L’Incident d’Antioche, Les Citrouilles) are inspired by Claudel, whose purpose they “force”.
